The end of May, the beginning of a house

I want to be in Randolph Center to watch all of the work being done. The prep for the basement (which will be a poured concrete foundation) has begun!

Also some tree work- there were a couple (very diseased already with the trunk half missing) Maple trees that were also hit by the heat of the fire and are too close to the house any way, that had to come down.  One of those sad realities. We are trying to preserve as many trees as we can.

There are also some Ash trees that are along the back where the garage will go.  Joe Bertrand, the builder, will save the Ash and mill them into boards for the kitchen cabinets.  How cool is that?!

We will definitely be planting the largest Maples we can get…two in the front as soon as the house is done.

I am excited that work has begun.
